NEW LEAGUE SEASON DELAYED

The 2013/2014 Fiji Sun GP Batteries National Football League season will start next month after the Courts Inter District Championship.

Fiji FA CEO Bob Kumar and President Rajesh Patel.
Bob Kumar the Fiji Football Association chief executive officer says a new date is yet to be confirmed.

“The decision is made in view of the busy schedule we have in the coming weeks leading up to the Courts IDC. Other events like the FIFA World Cup trophy and Fiji FA platinum celebration are some of the other things lined up for September,” Kumar said.

Only the 2013 premier division competition remains to be completed. This comes as Nasinu-Dreketi played to a 1-1 draw during the second leg of the Fiji Sun GP Batteries Premier division playoffs in Vanua Levu.

“The other divisions have been completed and we are only left with the premier division conclusion. Since Nasinu-Dreketi played to yet another draw a third leg will now need to be played at a neutral to decide the
winner,” Kumar said.

Winners:

National League: Super Premier : Ba
National League: Premier: (yet to be completed)
Under 21: Super Premier: Rewa
Under 21: Premier: Rakiraki
